- Are your windows custom made or do you have standard sizes?

All Schuster double glazed windows and doors are custom made according to customer requirements. We are happy to discuss your project needs and to provide you with a free measure and quote.

- What colour options are available for your glass units?

Any type of glass requested by our customers is available in our double glazed units. We have clear glass, various tints of glass, and low-e glass available. Please speak with us for more information.

- What is the thickness of your double glazed units?

All Schuster standard double glazed units are 24mm and consist of 6mm toughened glass on the outside, 12mm argon gas filled air gap, and another 6mm toughened glass on the inside. Laminated double glazed units are also available (see below).

- Are double glazed units available in different thicknesses?

The standard size of Schuster Windows double glazed units for both windows and doors is 24mm thickness (as described above) however the thickness can be increased according to customer requirements.

- Are laminated double glazed units also available in different thicknesses?

Laminated double glazed units are available in thicknesses starting from 6.76mm laminated glass, 12mm argon gas filled air gap, and 6.76mm laminated glass, however for increased noise control and energy efficiency the size of laminated double glazed units can also be increased.

- What colours are available for your finished products?

We offer a large variety of colours for our customers to choose from following the RAL colour chart.

-What colour options are available for uPVC?

Customers have the option to select painted or laminated uPVC double glazed windows and doors.

-What type of timber is used for your doors and windows?

Our timber of choice is Canadian Hemlock or American Oak for their high quality and durability. Both types of timber can be stained or painted in any colour chosen by our customers.

-Do you offer flyscreens?

Standard flyscreens are included in the quoted price for all windows. We are happy to provide customers with the upgraded option of stainless steel mesh flyscreens upon request.

-Do timber products require a lot of maintenance?

Standard maintenance of all timber products is required, however, in order to reduce the time, costs and stress associated with the maintenance of external timber doors and windows, Schuster Windows also offers the convenient timber aluminium combination range with the option of timber on the inside and an aluminium cladding on the outside, requiring little or no maintenance.
